Christmas Is Coming

At the weekend the Foreverbunnies were out on the road and this time they were at Cromford Mill in Derbyshire, the mill was the first water-powered cotton spinning mill developed by Richard Arkwright in 1771.

It was a fabulous crisp morning and such a beautiful inspiring location, there were lots of fun Christmas things as well as all the fantastic craft stalls.

At one o'clock Jeff the Reindeer arrived in his trailer to meet and greet his adoring fans, he was very well behaved and enjoyed all the attention, also Santa was on hand to take all the children's Christmas wish lists.
On site is a great little antique shop which was crammed with the most fantastic quirky array of unusual finds, so I when on the search for things to help display Foreverbunnies and came across this vintage Martell Brandy crate and at such a good price it had to join the Foreverbunny stand. We had a lovely day and some more Foreverbunnies went to their new forever homes.

The next show is on the 15th December at a pop up shop on Saddler Gate, Derby full details on the Foreverbunny website tomorrow :)

New Foreverbunnies

Today started with a huge wood cutting session, it's the first part of creating five new Foreverbunny families, there are going to be double Iona's looking at each other but there are also two new ones that show the group of three bunnies that inspired the whole collection.

The initial paint layers were applied today but the fun starts tomorrow as I decide how to decorate the faces and bodies and which scarfs they need to have to keep them warm, then the main construction begins.

The Foreverbunny collection will accompany me this weekend when the Foreverbunny family and me will appear at two hand made craft events.

Foreverbunnies Find Their Foreverhomes

The launch of Foreverbunny at the weekends two events was a great success, not only did they all look fab lined up but they also went to plenty of foreverhomes too. The stall was easier to set up than I had imagined only taking around twenty minutes so I had plenty of time to have a quick coffee before the doors were opened.
It got very busy at times and it was great to chat to everyone about my favourite subject, bunnies! It did get rather cold though so I'm glad I put my thermals on and bought my gloves, not to mention a thermos flask of soup.
So a great opening weekend, this week though I'm concentrating on getting the full price list online and integrating credit card payments so I can take them on and offline at events, starting a Facebook page and adding a new line, Weddingbunnies - Foreverbunnies with bells on!

The next events are in just over a weeks time at these venues, the second of which I have to try and erect a gazebo come what may with the weather!

Foreverbunnies Are Go!

Everything is ready for this weekend and the official launch of Foreverbunny. It's taken four months to get to this stage, from designing, prototyping, cutting, colouring, crafting and finally assembling my little bunny army of a hundred so I'm a little nervous at what reaction they will get over the next few days.

If you do get chance to come along to any of the events then please do, I and my Foreverbunnies would love to see you!

You can find details to all of my events on the Events page on this website, alternatively if you are reading this on blogger visit www.foreverbunny.co.uk for full details.

We are three

I have been developing the Foreverbunny range over the last few weeks and as I sit watching the buns in the garden as I work I have plenty of inspiration. They have all been captured in the freestanding rabbit shapes, the single head is Aaran, the tall one is Jura with her long slender body and then there is one that's always looking up at you in the hope that there is food on the way, oh dear, that's Iona.

I have been creating several different combinations of the free standings but yesterday was a first for they all appeared together. Aaran at the front, Iona in the middle and Jura at the back and of course there has to be a heart for the love they share attached to a tiny spring I have made.

Really this should be going to our first Foreverbunny craft fair this weekend but I don't think that it will manage to leave the studio...

Once Upon a Time...

Deciding you are going to make something from scratch is one of those things that can seem a little daunting at first. What should I do? how do I do it? Will people like it just because I like it? All questions I'm sure that most people have asked themselves when starting on this journey and something that will be answered quite swiftly no doubt when my Foreverbunnies go on sale for the very first time next weekend at two special events.

If you can make it I would love to see you there as will my Foreverbunnies, who will be lined up and waiting for their new owners to take them to their forever home. Full details below.
